Leo Pareja and I met when he was the National President of NAHREP, and he impressed me from the start. He has a great deal of ambition coupled with great humility and smarts, and that makes him a great leader and entrepreneur. Leo is a great inspiration for the Latino community and a spectacular leader in our industry. It was a pleasure to sit down with him and speak candidly during this podcast.

More About Leo Pareja:

Leo Pareja entered Real Estate at just 19 years of age and by 28 he was the #1 Keller Williams Agent in the world. He became a permanent fixture on The Thousand report, published by REAL Trends in partnership with the Wall Street Journal, as well as #1 Agent on NAHREP’s Top 250 list and an Alumni of Realtor Magazine’s 30 under 30. During his 15 years selling, Pareja sold close to 4,000 homes representing around 750 million in transactional volume.

In parallel to selling real estate, in 2012 he co-founded and continues to co-own Washington Capital Partners, one of the largest private lending companies in the mid-Atlantic region. WCP provides financing to buy, fix and flip for investors of SFR product by focusing on a frictionless process leveraged through a proprietary technology platform. The company delivers debt to liquidity conduits in the secondary market which is uncommon in a space predominantly full of small mom and pop operators.

Christopher Invidiata, "The Harder I work, The Luckier I get" Team Leader/Sales Representative of The Invidiata Team on Global Luxury Real Estate Mastermind with Michael Valdes Podcast #142

Christopher Invidiata, leader of one of the most successful teams ever under the ReMax franchise that recently moved to eXp sat down with me to talk about his career, family, and legacy.

I spent several months getting to know Christopher during his due diligence process and what I received was a true friend. He is one of the most genuine human beings I have ever met, and I truly feel blessed to have created this friendship with him.

True leader, mentor, and legend in our industry. I am so grateful for the conversation.

More About Christopher Invidiata:

Invidiata, a powerhouse luxury brand known for selling high-end properties throughout Canada, was established 35 years ago by Christopher Invidiata and was previously part of the RE/MAX network. Invidiata has sold more than $4 billion in residential real estate and was named the #1 RE/MAX team in Canada more than 15 times since 2001 as well as achieving #1 team worldwide in 2007 and 2012. As leaders in

the real estate industry for more than three decades, Invidiata has consistently developed and maintained cutting edge marketing strategies combined with providing the highest caliber of service to clients to achieve its phenomenal growth.

With an ethos of “No home is too large or too small to be handled with the same level of care,” the Invidiata team completed over $250 million CND in sales volume with more than180 transactions in 2019.

The agreement allows Invidiata agents to benefit from eXp Realty’s unique financial model for residential real estate sales which goes beyond just commissions to also provide revenue share and stock options, creating an opportunity for agents to invest in their futures. The partnership model also offers agents health insurance and unique marketing resources, including its cloud-based virtual environment and customized technology platform that enhances virtual training, prospecting, sales and communications for agents. As with all eXp Realty broker partners, Invidiata will continue to operate under its strong brand name.

According to Christopher Invidiata, the move to partner with eXp Realty was exactly what he was looking for to catapult his team and brand into the future of where residential real estate is headed. “I’d been working toward a model that would give our agents more benefits, increased marketing resources and, most importantly, the opportunity to have an ownership stake,” he said. “We are always looking for the next growth opportunity and innovative move to continue our success at our team, and eXp is doing exactly what I had envisioned with the added benefit of being a virtual company, completely cloud-based with no brick and mortar. This is the future of real estate, and we’re delighted to be part of eXp Realty as it blazes a path forward. This is an exciting time to be a realtor.”

Julie Nelson, "It's OK to hit reset", author, mentor and coach shares her best lessons over her decades-long career on Global Luxury Real Estate Mastermind with Michael Valdes Podcast #140

Julie Nelson has a passion for teaching. Having come from an education and tech background, it was an easy transition for her to get into mentorship at a very high level. Julie's thought process of an agent seeing themselves as the sales manager of their business and then shifting to COO/CFO and finally growing into becoming CEO of their company is a unique roadmap. Just having released her second book "Success, Faster, on Fire, Hot!" her thoughts have helped agents increase their business exponentially. Julie says she is dedicated to authoring books that change lives. With such a powerful mission statement, she is truly making a difference.

More About Julie Nelson:

Career architect, agent whisperer, encourager, technologist, published author, Julie ran the largest new agent training program in the country for 5 years before launching her own coaching company and publishing Success Faster: Quickly Launch or Relaunch Your Real Estate Career in 2018 and her 2nd book fall 2020, Success Faster On Fire Hot!

A 20+ year real estate veteran, an active REALTOR with eXp Realty in Austin, national speaker, Inman contributor, ABoR faculty, eXp University faculty, Julie’s specialties include emerging agents, stuck agents, and any agent hitting the reset button. Julie knows that momentum is sexy and believes that a few slight (yet critical) course corrections can change the trajectory of your business, your bank account and your life.

Julie earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa, lived in the Twin Cities for 9 years then relocated to Austin, Texas in 1994 as part of a tech transfer. Julie lives on her somewhat urban farm in southwest Austin, is a Master Gardener, and an aspiring foodie.
